On 29 January 2022, the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) published changes to the Highway Code in the UK, with 10 sections of The Highway Code updated and 50 rules added or updated plus most importantly a new ‘Hierarchy of Road Users’ created giving higher priority to pedestrians and cyclists over vehicles.
