Back to School?

Back to School

As the lockdown begins to ease, most schools have begun to open their doors.  It’s back to school for Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 children.

Whilst the children may well be wildly excited about seeing friends again, parents and teachers might view the return to school with a bit more trepidation.  Although we are all by now used to the concepts of social distancing, and enhanced hygiene measures, it can be tricky to see how these can be maintained in a crowded and busy classroom environment – but where there’s a will, there’s a way.

We’ve been hard at work reviewing COVID-19 Risk Assessments for a number of our education sector clients to ensure that this transition to the ‘new normal’ runs as smoothly and safely as possible for all concerned in their schools.

And while this will be a learning experience for everyone, it’s reassuring to know that potential risks to pupils and staff have been considered and appropriate mitigation measures implemented.

Schools, like any other employer, must do everything ‘reasonably practicable’ to protect from harm, but with new COVID19 regulations to keep everyone safe there is another level of risk to consider.  Let us help put your mind at rest.  For further information on COVID-19 Risk Assessments and how we can help, please contact Jonathan Rensink on 07785425295.
